I am visiting my parents for the Thanksgiving weekend in Williamsburg, Va.  Other than cooking and then eating way more than we all should, I love spending an afternoon walking the streets of Colonial Williamsburg.  It is a historic town full of charm, sites to see, shops to visit, and fabulous food to eat.

{Historic home in the center of Colonial Williamsburgh~ Thanks mmh photography!}

 {The Cheese Shop is a must during any trip to Williamsburg.  The sandwiches are simple yet amazing and something I need to eat on each trip.  Today I ordered Virginia Ham with Havarti Cheese and House Dressing on French Bread.}

{After a wonderful fall walk through Williamsburg there is no better stop than Wythe Candy Shop.  We ended up leaving with two different caramel apples in the Thanksgiving spirit.}

{Streets and buildings that exemplify the beauty and rustic character of the town.}

I have my favorite spots when I come home to visit my parents, what are your “go-to” spots when you’re traveling home?
