A couple of weeks ago I turned on the tv and I got hooked – [can't move from my seat] hooked. It might be because I’m a sucker for a feel-good story but it’s probably more so that I’m a bigger sucker for fashion. Fashion Star was born. It seemed pretty cheesy at first – just another reality tv show giving people a chance that I’ve dreamed about for years. But these people have some major talent and the concept of having the contestant’s ‘bought’ merchandise available after the show airs is just genius. I venture to guess I’m not the only one that logs on to Saks, Macys and H&M after the show to see how the runway translates to the racks. Here are a few of my favorite pieces from Episodes 1-3 that perfectly embody the spring trends that are on my radar.
