It’s true I believed having Independence Day in the middle of the week was nothing short of annoying but as the week played out, I came to realize a Hump Day 4th happens to be nothing short of perfect. With ‘vacation brain’ setting in at work early on Tuesday and most taking off the remainder of the week, it has made this work week feel like a vacation without the official days off (I’ll celebrate that!). This 4th, like last, was spent at our good friends lake house. Nothing seems to scream America quite like sun, boating, corn-hole and an ice-cold Shiner (ok, maybe more than one:)). It’s easy to appreciate your freedom surrounded by good friends making good memories.
