A few weeks back, we finally made it to the Canton Market Days – an event full of unique trade crafters from all over that set up shop the first weekend of each month to share their specialities with the world. Since moving to Dallas, we’ve heard nothing but great things about this trade show so I’m not really sure why it has taken over 18 months to finally make the 40 minute trip north. But, we sure are glad we did! Not only can you find reworked, revamped, redone old faithfuls, but also specialty made furniture and pieces perfect for DIY projects.

My apartment has pretty much been a work in progress since I moved in almost 2 years ago but slowly and surely, it appears to be coming together. I’ve been trying to hold back on some additional key pieces that will surely make the entire look a little more cohesive; however, I’m trying to hold off until I’ve taken residence in a more permanent  fashion. In the meantime I’ve began to purchase key items that are sure to handle the long haul and have changed my thinking to focus on the little details.
